Summer Fun Give~Away!!

Ok, I'm finally back w/details about my new SUMMER FUN GIVEAWAY!!  Several of you suggested that you love a good mystery(from my most recent post),
so w/out further adieu, here's how it works:

My only rule is that
you have to be a follower, NO exceptions(NEW followers are always welcome)!!  International friends are welcome to join in as well.  You do not have to have a blog, just make sure I have a way of contacting you if you WIN!

* Please put all info on this ONE post ONLY, to keep it simple.   There will be TWO winners and you can choose from several different THEMES:
~ Cross Stitch
~ Wool Applique
~ Punch Needle
~ Quilting
~ Sewing
~ Crafts

** I will give you a few hints, but you won't know exactly what all you're going to receive in your package, that will remain a MYSTERY!!

***There will be at least one HANDMADE item, maybe even something pertaining to AMERICANA, (which I know so many of you LOVE) and there will be some fabric/supplies pertaining to whichever THEME you choose.  I will tell you that there will be several really nice items for both winners, so I hope you won't hesitate to join in.

****To make the giveaway a little more enticing, I will give anyone who advertises about this giveaway on their sidebar of their blog(or facebook pg, etc.) TWO extra entries per advertisement.  (Please do not make a separate post about the giveaway as they tend to get lost in the shuffle).

***** Another way to get extra entries > for every $5.00 you spend in my ETSY shop between now and the end of the giveaway, you will get another extra entry.  (for example, you spend $25 > you will get 5 extra entries).  (you do NOT need to mention anything about it in your comment on this post.  I receive a private email whenever someone buys something through Etsy and I will make sure to add in the extra entries for you).
You certainly don't have to spend a penny, that is not a requirement, but if you do, you will be rewarded!

So let's recap so no one will be confused.

ON THIS POST ONLY, let me know you are a (new or old) follower and which THEME you want if you win, and if you advertise about it anywhere, please state that in your comment too, so I can add in your extra entries.

That's it's.  It will start NOW and end on Sun. July 7th. @ noon, Eastern time, which is exactly one month till my b'day.

Good luck everyone!!

Decisions, Decisions...HELP!!!

I realize that I mentioned just a few days ago that I'd be back later in the week w/details of my upcoming GIVEAWAY.  Well, the truth is, I'm still trying to 'tweak' it.  I have several things in mind to give away, but I really could use your input on what you'd rather 'win' in a giveaway package.  For instance, would you rather have a 'kit' or just some nice supplies for cross stitching, wool applique or sewing/quilting/crafting??  Would you rather have patterns, threads, fabric OR something handmade???  OR a MYSTERY Giveaway filled w/lots of goodies, but you won't exactly know what they are????  Oooooohhh, the ideas are endless!!  Do you have a favorite designer??  If so, do tell!!

I have tons of stuff, so I really don't mind sharing.  I am thinking about having 2 or 3 winners again, like I did last time, (where I put them into categories), that way you have a better chance at winning.

So please HELP me solve this giveaway mystery!  I really thought I had it narrowed down, but I'd rather have your input!!  Please give me your honest opinion!!!

I promise, (Lord willing) to be back in a couple of days or so w/all the DETAILS fined-tuned!!

Thanks in advance!!
Tanya

Long Time No Post....

Ok, so it's been a bit crazy here lately, but a few wks. ago I actually got in the mood to start sewing again.  Here's another one of those wristlets I made for Miss Bekah, my future DIL(daughter-in-law).  She is crazy about anything w/a zebra print to it, so I thought this print would work great.  She also picked out the rick rack to add some color to it.  I made hers a bit bigger and added pockets to the inside as well.  Basically reconstructed the whole pattern, but hey, works for me (and her).  I've also made a few other things too, but they will have to wait till later on, as I forgot to upload the pics.
She wanted a little bling, so added the charms to the zipper......and wah-lah!  She loved it!!!  And speaking of LOVE..........

She and my son were in a wedding recently.  Nicholas, (our oldest son) was the best man in one of his childhood friend's wedding, which was outdoors.  Bekah/Nicholas have finally set a date of their own>>>Sept. 13th, 2014.   They've been engaged for exactly one yr. now, as of the other day, so they are taking their time and not in any rush for now, at least.
I just had to show how pretty my plants/flowers were this yr. in our backyard.  The Asiatic Lillies were in full bloom a few wks. ago.  They get really tall before the flowers fall off.

My two rose bushes bloomed quite a bit fuller this yr. than last.  The unique thing about these bushes is that they have entirely different colors of roses all on the same bush.
You can see what I mean w/this pic.......
The pink one does the same thing, different shades of pink on the same bush.  These are called 'Knockout Rose Bushes' and usually bloom for several months.

I know I haven't been posting as much as I used to, but I'm hoping to change that by posting more often from now on.

I've also been wanting to have a giveaway for several months now, but life just kept getting in the way.  So I finally figured out what I want to offer and I'll be back later this wk. w/all the details.  I will give you a hint tho' ~~~it will be for cross stitchers, wool applique lovers and maybe even some sewing things too, you'll just have to check back and find out.  :))  I still have to 'fine-tune' it just a bit.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far!  We are doing something new and unique at our church this yr.  We are having a program called, 'Kid's Camp' and it runs every Sun. night during both June and July, K-5th grade.
We feed all the kids dinner first, then they go off to various activities for the next couple of hrs, like watching skits and/or puppets w/Bible stories, lots of outdoor games/singing/movement, etc.  Then they all come back in to get a popsicle or snack and then off they go.
We are doing this as an outreach program to win kids to Christ at a young age and it has been a huge success so far. The kids seem to really enjoy it immensely!
I have never seen so many volunteers in my life, even the youth at our church are all involved in some aspect.  I get to help w/the food prep and serving it to the kiddos.  We all have so much fun w/each other that we don't even mind the clean up!

Don't forget to check back later in the week for the giveaway details!!  Until then, happy stitching!
