Country/Prim House Tour ~ Part One

A couple of weeks ago we took a little trip to my sweet step~daughter's house to celebrate her b'day and of course, spend the day w/the grandkiddos. While there, I took some pics of Amy's country/prim style home. She is a Pastor's wife, so has had to decorate very frugally over the yrs. They live in the parsonage, next door to their church, but it is up on a big hill, a little ways from the church.
Most everything she decorates with is either something she's made(she loves to paint), something she's found at her favorite junk store, or something someone has made/given to her as a gift.
(Keep in mind some of these pics are a bit dark or slightly blurred, sorry ahead of time) :))

This barn quilt is the first one she's ever painted if I'm correct, and I think she did a super job on it. She paints everything freehand.
Every time we go visit them, she has rearranged her living room. It has become somewhat of a joke between us as to how many ways she can change it out. LOL

My MIL (her paternal grandmother) gave her this darling quilt last Christmas. I like the way she just hung it over a curtain rod and draped the pipberry vine over it.
She has several lanterns that she likes to decorate with also. She painted that crow pic (hanging on the wall).

The red bowtie quilt is from her hubby's grandmother, I'm pretty sure she told me that awhile back.

Another sign she painted.....

I think she told me that someone made these fabric flowers.....

Amy found this old cabinet for a good price at the junk/antique store and she painted it black. It holds some old dishes and old quilts, etc.

The two ruby red glass kerosene lanterns are real antiques from her hubby's grandmother.

Someone in their church gave them this piano and she's had it several places in the room. This is next to their fireplace. She painted the saltbox house pic and also the saw blade(on the piano). (She has sold several of these sawblades too).

She loves old windows like I do and decorates w/them quite a bit.....

Well, I better stop here for now so this post doesn't get too long. I hope you enjoyed the little tour, but I will be back later on to share part two. Amy is one very talented gal and I can't wait to see what she comes up w/next!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your day!!
