U Whooo, R U ready for fall???

Happy Fall, Ya'll! tee hee, I couldn't resist a little southern greeting. :))

I apologize for the blurred pics in advance. The photographer was in a big hurry that day and got too close, silly girl that she is! LOL

This is a little owl I made recently using 100% wool for the entire body, ok, maybe I cheated w/a little wool felt here/there also. It took wayyyyyyy longer than I realized cuz of all the hand stitching of layer after layer, but I thought he turned out kinda cute, in a strange sort of way. He is filled partially w/crushed walnut shells so he'd stand up better.
His wings wrap all the way around his back. I have him sitting in the window out in the barn in front of my sewing machine. He keeps watch over the back yard for me, ha.
This little cabinet and shelf has always housed my red/white 'cherry' plates and decor, since we remodeled last yr, but I was ready for a change. Here's what the cabinet and shelf in the kitchen look like now.

I fell in love w/this verse, so I just had to have this framed piece. It came from that darling prim shop I showed you all recently. It reads: "I'm thankful for the Harvest, I'm thankful for the fall, I'm thankful for so many things, but for Family most of all".

The bucket has one of those flickering tea lights in it.
The scarecrow guy used to always sit out on the front porch, but this yr. he got to come inside. The black cat is made out of wool felt and some overdyed wool too. I made a taller one too, but it sold last yr. at a craft fair. His tail has a wire inside so you can curl it any way you want.

The two gals who used to work for me in my shop made me the big pillow, as that was the name of my shop. Pam and Theresa were the best workers anyone could ask for.

Now let's move outside to the front porch for a min. For those of you who don't care for Halloween, then just skip over the next several pics, otherwise let's continue. Just remember I only do cutesy, whimsical decor for Halloween, not evil or scary.
These are a bit bright, but very prim looking. I wish you could see the shoes in person on the pumpkin to the right. They are made w/very sparkley felt. These pillows were all handstitched on wool felt fabric.
Another kitty in a different color.
You might notice that I have a LOT of pillows~ that's because when I had my shop, I did not have framing as an alternative, and that was also before anyone starting using all the different types of finishing that we have now.

Another one made from wool felt, which I sold in my shop.

Part of the display on the long picture window.

I wish you could see this little mummy in person, the pic does not show him 'wrapped' in one inch strips all that well. He is lightly tea stained too, but doesn't show up too well. I love his little beaded eyes.

Another shop model made by Pam. She made the pillow in the shape of a pumpkin and made the covered buttons. How cute!
This pillow takes me back quite a ways ~ I made it when my oldest son was really little and let him pick out the floss color for her braided hair. The 'BOO' is done on perforated paper attached to wooden blocks.

Here's a couple of arrangements I threw together just to add some more color on this side of the porch.

This next one is not exactly fallish, but I wanted to show you that I actually finished this into a pillow recently. It's from a LHN design and I stitched it up during the Winter Olympics this yr., but it laid around for months until I found just the right fabric.

This little guy was made a few yrs. ago and is taken from an older Art to Heart book.

And last but not least, I have 2 RAKs(random acts of kindness) to show you. These are handmade by Carole of Prim N Raggedy and you wouldn't believe how wonderful they smell!! She sent them to me recently all the way from Ireland and I think they are darling! Thanks again Carole!

This is a tiny little needle-minder that Sharon (A.K.A.~ Daffycat) sent me just the other day. It has a magnet of some kind in it to hold your needles and I just love it! Done over one on 40ct. fabric! Isn't it too cute??? Thanks again Sharon!

That's all for now folks! I will be back soon w/pics of my fall swap, so you won't want to miss those!
Hope everyone is having a great week! Thanks for all your sweet comments, I really appreciate them so much!
Tanya
