Table Top Tues.~ Craft Barn Tour~Part 4

Welcome back to the last part of our tour. Hope you're not getting tired of seeing pics of the barn yet. LOL
Here's one more short wall in between the door to the barn and the sewing nook. I love to decorate w/sheep and found this cabinet at a craft mall a few yrs. back. The spindles were already painted that green color. I've always been crazy about beadboard too, so I love the fact that it was backed w/it.
Under the sheep shelf is a small chest of drawers that belonged to my hubby when he was growing up. I decorate the top of it w/old timey sewing items. An old set of sewing bobbins, some wooden spools tied w/homespun, a glass jar w/spools of thread and a vintage sewing machine picture frame of Mr. Fix It and our boys when they were little.

Here's a view of what's inside some of the drawers. The top drawer is a bit shallower than the others, so I keep my smaller cr. stitch patterns along w/a few other things in there.
Another drawer holds more craft patterns and some cr. stitch patterns as well.

This drawer holds over 400 skeins of DMC floss in floss bags. I need to make new dividers, but it is very easy to find whatever color floss I'm looking for.

Here's another short wall on the other side of the door as you enter the main room. I found this shelf at the same craft mall several yrs. ago. Several items were gifts from friends and a few were handmade. This shelf hangs above the T.V. stand. Yes, I even have a tv in my barn, lol.
This sampler hangs to the left of the black shelf right before you enter the craft closet I showed you last time. I made this back when my youngest son was a newborn. My oldest son was a toddler at the time, but I'd wait till they went down for a nap to stitch on it, unless I needed to take one too, wink, wink. You mothers know what I'm talking about! :))
You can't really tell, but I added beads to parts of the design. It is a Pat Rogers design from many yrs. ago.
This is my first sampler I ever made over 20 yrs. ago. I gave it to my sweet mama for her b'day one yr. and she hung it in her guest room for many yrs. This pattern was in an old Leisure Arts magazine.

Oh, and I forgot to show a close-up of some of my handmade cards from last tour. I have a whole album full of cards I've made, but these are just a few. The black stars on the wrought-iron holder are actually clothespin-type clips. I used it in my shop yrs. ago to hang the smaller patterns I had for sale. This is an updated view of how the outside of the barn looks now, just taken recently.

Well, I hope you've enjoyed the tour. If you missed any of the other parts, just click on recent posts and you can see the rest of the inside.
Thanks so much for coming by and please come back again soon as I will be posting some news about my very first giveaway which will have an 'Americana' theme, as well as pics of my Americana living room. I still have lots more to share, so you won't want to miss out!
Please feel free to leave a comment! I so enjoy reading them and appreciate everyone who stops by. I've enjoyed getting to know several of you these past few months.
Thanks again to Marty for hosting another fun Table Top Tues. Go check out all the others who linked w/her.

Have a great week everyone and a very happy Mother's Day, especially if you are a mama!

Oh, every time I see pics of your place, I just drool over every detail. I love your shelves and you have them decorated beautifully. I think shelves are hard, but your vignettes are just so lovely. The vignette on top of the chest is lovely. I really like the sewing machine frame, but a great find. When you showed the drawers, I nearly fainted. I can't believe you're so organized. Now can you just come and spend about a month at my house? Love it all. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty

Hi Tanya! Love your unusual shelf with all those darling little sheep on them. I really like the two on the bottom with the words. Now your hubby's little chest looks great and how very neat and organized you are! Yes, I've enjoyed the tour and the porch is so sweet!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

What a great idea to use that chest for organizing your craft items...all hidden away! Your porch looks so inviting...time for tea?
Have a beautiful week!

Hello, I found my way to you from another blog. You have a craft barn? A whole barn devoted to crafts? I am so jealous! I love crafting but have to pull everything out each time I feel creative. Even though I'm fairly organized, it is still a pain. I think that I will lurk around and continue to covet your barn!

Best,
Bonnie

How many 'nooks and crannies' has your barn got?

Love all your shelves and displays, but just HOW is it possible to be sooo organised? Please enlighten me:)

Have a great week,
Blessings, Shazy x

Thanks so much Tanya, I am sorry that's the end of the barn tour - it's been great fun!

But did you say your living room is decorated in Americana? That I can't wait to see!!

BTW, your first cross stitch is so precious, really lovely!
Have a wonderful week!

I am wondering how old wooden spools are--I surely remember them and have a few. Do you know when they stopped making them? Oh, and I can't believe all the floss you have in the post below!! I had to laugh at your shelf with the two spindles and bead board ; it would oh so fit in at my cottage!!! which is called spindle cottage for a reason! ha! it is here:
